We use natural textiles for production of garments and bedding. We source fabric that is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®,
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known labels for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products (at all stages of production) tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety.
Our atelier is located in the heart of the Garment District in Montréal. We are next door to large warehouses full of overstock designer fabric. They have incredible selections, and a vast array of one-of-a-kind fabrics. We always prefer to shop here first, before ordering new fabric. Supporting overstock sellers drastically helps to reduce industry textile waste.
In-house Small-Batch Production
Small batch production is the term used when a production run is for less than 500 units or garments. For us, that means less than 50 units at a time. Producing small quantities, is essential in maintaining our sustainable business model. As we cut and sew in the same building, we have the advantage of making more items as demand grows, rather than overproducing and creating wasted product.
Some items are made-to-order due to availability of fabric, off-season item, or more time consuming production factors. We currently have a wait of 3-5 business days to make you order, plus shipping time.
Extended Clothing Life
Repair Program: Once you purchase aleur, you're guaranteed free repair on that item. One of the most exciting things about in-studio production is having access to all machines at any time. We take responsibility for making quality garments that you can wear for the rest of your life. With that said, life happens and sometimes thread breaks, but don't worry we're here to fix it for you. We want to do everything we can to prolong the life of clothing with reinforced stitching and repair. This helps to avoid CO2 emissions, waste output, and of course, it saves you money.
